Muang Boran, également connu sous le nom d’Ancient City, est intéressant pour son aspect historique et de divertissement. Sur une surface totale de 320 acres, Muang Boran est un incroyable musée en plein air, retraçant tout le glorieux passé architectural du Royaume de Thaïlande.
Près de 100 monuments historiques, temples, palaces et autres chefs-d'oeuvre thaïlandais sont reproduits ici sous forme de répliques fidèles en miniature.
Muang Boran présente aussi différentes traces des civilisations et ethnies anciennes, comme des outils antiques, de l'artisanat rural et des ustensiles de chasse, prouvant l'origine lointaine de la culture autochtone du Royaume de Siam.
The Ancient City,
also known as Muang Boran, is both entertaining and
historically interesting. This 320-acre outdoor museum is an
architectural reflection of
Thailand's
glorious past. Nearly a hundred of the country's most
important historical landmarks and monuments, including
palaces and temples, have been reconstructed as miniature
replicas. Muang Boran also houses several ethnological
displays of artifacts and antiques, including rural arts,
ancient tools, and hunting equipment, evidence of the
long-term survival of a native culture.
The Ancient
City is located on the old Sukhumvit Highway, about 33 km east
of central Bangkok. To move around the park, golf cars or bicycles
can be hired, and private vehicles are also allowed.
