Do not be concerned about the pick up - I read many different reports on this. But basically it seems to me the system is that they wont wait with a sign with your name. instead you go the waiting area at Gate 4 and someone will have hotel sign and if not just ask.
We were supposed to land at 7.30pm and instead never got in until 3.30am - i thought for sure no one would be there.
But I asked other staff waiting for customers of other hotels there and they grabbed another guy who calls for about 5 hotels, you wait no more than 10mins and they turn up to get you then.
It s not well explained but I gathered this from previous reviews and just ask people, some other tourists walk off in a huff confused, just ask as in thailand it really does seem they all know each others business. "
